Tour Description

South Africa is a country with a deep history that is still evolving. On this trip, we will explore all three capitals and be able to connect with nature at the various national parks along with seeing what it is like to live in a country so different from our homes.
We'll see the sunrise on Table Mountain, be hands on with wildlife, relax on the beaches of Cape Town, and shop with the locals in Pretoria.

This would be a dream trip for myself because my husband was raised in South Africa while I was raised in Los Angeles, California. It would mean the world to me to be able to see his roots and where he came from so that I would have a better understanding of that culture when it is time to raise our children. I want to go on an adventure and delve into a completely different world, yes. But, I also want to see the history and the culture…everything that has molded my husband into the person he is today. I want to see how the Afrikaners live and experience it for myself. Furthermore, I think it would be a experience unlike any other for whoever else joined in on the trip.

Day 1: Arrive in South Africa in Cape Town
Day 2: Table Mountain, Great Oceans Aquarium
Day 3: Green Market Square, Cape Town National Reserve
Day 4: Beach, explore with the locals
Day 5: Beach, explore with the locals
Day 6: Travel to Port Elizabeth
Day 7: Explore Port Elizabeth (art museum, hands on game reserve)
Day 8: Travel to Pretoria
Day 9: Visit historical sites in Pretoria (Union Buildings
Day 10: White River (husband’s hometown, visit with locals- Pilgrims rest town sent 1700s, see the pancake obsession)
Day 11: Kruger National Park
Day 12: travel back to Johannesburg
Day 13: Explore Johannesburg (Gold Reef, Lions Park)
Day 14: More Jo-burg (historic sights, botanical gardens)
Day 15: Fly back home
